Jonathan and the builders took it being International Mud Day today very seriously and really got in to the spirit of it.

First we had to clear some of the mud out of the way. Found a handy place to put it; behind the wall- now it doesn't look as though it is in the wrong place :-) And...start digging the foundations to our lounge - Then the first load of concrete finally arrives for the ring beam- we say a fond farewell to the indoor moat. ... is his castleand as such we have our very own moat.... ... but aren't moats meant to go around the outside the building? Maybe lintels should come with instructions........ Finally, foundation design agreed, quote agreed and they're off..... All the apertures have been finished this week. The bricks at the roof line are being tidied up, tubes for water connection to home and work being sorted. The chapel continues to express a range of emotions....... The chapel is in a state of shock at the ignominy of having its nose (name-stone) removed! ...
..... Hopefully it will return soon cleaner, more legible and better than ever. |
